This is a sticker on the pumps at a local gas station. Okay, so I know what this message is trying to convey.
But after reading it a few times, I realized how stupid it actually is.

I mean, as a cash customer, if I have to pay first, then how is it that I am actually helping them in any way?
Now I might imagine, that if I was a thief, and for some bizarre reason I suddenly decided to pay, just because of this message, then I might actually understand how I could be helping them. But you cannot pump any gas without paying first.

So, basically, it's just a stupid sign. Because if there is no option, then you are not really helping them anyway.

I'm not even going to address how "dangerous" it could be.
