* Horned Toad Lizard *
    Now this little critter seemed really out of place on the top of Black Butte. To me that was a very odd place to find one of these. I have seen these things all over in Texas, especially in the dry and warm areas.     I surely thought that it was way too cold up there for these things. I know it was about 40 degrees while I was there and the wind was blowing like crazy. I reached down to catch this little lizard and it tried to get away until I held it in my hand. Then it wouldn't get off. I guess it really liked the warmth from my hand and just comfortably sat there while I get a few pictures.
