Digging around, I just noticed this image and realized that I don't think I had posted it before. 

Back while I was playing around with importing real lightning bolts into various other backgrounds, I played around with changing the colors to see what I could come up with.
 I thought this might be something that we could speculate lightning might look like during a post apocalyptic nuclear fallout.

But actually this does look similar to what I saw after I bumped my head on the kitchen cabinet last night. 
And that's when the space ship landed....
