As I was growing up, and almost always fascinated with
the simplest things in life, my father always use to shake his head and
respond with one of his favorite quotes, "It takes so little to amuse a
  fool".
Well, whether that was true or not, I was quite often
amused by the smallest little things. From watching ants for hours on end, or
just lying in the yard at nights for hours, just to get a glimpse of a
shooting star, I was always fascinated with so many things that never seemed
  to interest anybody else, whatsoever.

Much like this little incident the other day. As I was
sitting at my desk, I turned and looked and I noticed that the sunlight was
striking a small notepad just a certain way and casting a shadow across the
spiral rings onto the pad. I reached down to grab the pad and became enthralled
by the way the shadows moved and danced across the pad with the movement of my
fingers, much like that of a graphic equalizer on a sound system. Or like a
  sampled wave on an oscilloscope.

Now, although this does sound rather silly, and may not
appeal to anybody other than a sound engineer or an electronics nerd. But it
actually gave me an idea for a small clip for a video. If, and when I ever get
to the point where I put together a music video of some of my music, I think
it would be cool to use a piece of a clip from this same scenario, and to move
the shadows along with the music.

In any case, I thought it was interesting.
Or just maybe my father was right about me.
"It takes so little to amuse a fool".
