Pennies Don't Grow in Heaven

I wish I had a penny, and my own wishing well
I wish I had a star from above, I'd wish upon until it fell

But pennies don't grow in heaven
And stars don't really fall from the sky
And wishing wells don't give dreams anymore
For they've all gone dry

I wish I could find a rainbow's end, where a pot of gold is suppose to be
But the more I search, the more I find, that maybe its just not for me

But pennies don't grow in heaven
And stars don't really fall from the sky
And wishing wells don't give dreams anymore
For they've all gone dry

I wish I had her here with me, for all the gold I would give
But an angel's pay can't buy a ticket home
So in my dreams she'll always live

But pennies don't grow in heaven
And stars don't really fall from the sky
And wishing wells don't give dreams anymore
For they've all gone dry
