Just past Torrey, the road took me along more impressive bluffs and rock formations.

On a little further was the tiny town of Fuita. Fruita is located inside a small canyon with a small creek. The road was a lot of fun. Just past the town was a small park where they had some Ancient Indian engravings on a cliff wall. I thought them to be quite interesting and wondered who might have carved them. I came to the conclusion that they were actually carved by space aliens. I couldn't see any other reason why Native American Indians would carve such detailed images that look like robots and space men.

As I drove along the canyon the sun began to set. For several miles I was hoping that I could come up on top of the canyon somewhere so I could get a better shot of this spectacular sunset. The colors were magical and the camera just would not capture them the same way I saw them.

I rode on into the night and the dark. I turned onto highway 24 and headed north.

I finally made it to Interstate 70 and headed east towards Colorado. The temperature dropped as I climbed higher and further towards the Rockies. I made it to the Colorado border and enjoyed a moment when I realized that I had reached my 24,000 mile mark.
