Howdy!
  Today was another wonderful day, and the scenery out
here is outstanding. Lake Placid is a beautiful town
with MUCH activity, hustle & bustle. Many people from
many different countries train out here for the
olympics, and every other store in this town has to do
with hiking, biking, canoeing, skiing and snowboarding!
Nestled in the middle of mountains & lakes, Lake
Placid was the site of two Olympic Winter Games, in
1932 & 1980. Here they have an Official US Olympic
Training Center for athletes, a ski-jumping complex,
and Kodak Sports Park, where you can watch world-class
freestylists twist, turn and flip in the air before
landing in a 750,000 gallon pool!
  I'm staying at the Hostel for 2 nights for free, and
it's right in the heart of town. Take care and have a
